Karnataka CM Yediyurappa at Vidhan sabha on Wednesday announced BMTC will reduce its bus fares charges very soon and as at present BMTC is working with 6500 buses and will be going to add more 6000 electric buses to reduce pollution in Bengaluru.
Due to many vehicle pooling services, day by day BMTC had very low income from the past few months so in order to beat those pooling services BMTC decided to reduce its fare charges.
Yediyurrapa government also set up a goal to expand Namma Bengaluru metro around 300 km by 2020 and to connect the airport and Hoskote by 2023.
